*DEAR NATURE,*
Don’t tell them I told you
of humanity’s betrayal,
I pity your anomalous warmth,
I feel the scarcity of your tears,
Even the poor no longer fear you,
They build mansions at your crown,
Shave your begging spreaded hands to ashes,
They dig through your bleeding heart,
As into extinction your dependents flee.
They use you against you
that
the sun itself hoaxes photosynthesis,
You are a stranger there too,
Do not find refuge in it—it imposes contraception,
Why does the anatomy of your constituent change so soon?
Why do they adapt to this polluted adobe so soon?
What is the deal with your plastic gut?
Oh, tell me, are they robots?
I see they are swaging because their home is oily,
Why do I hardly see them then?
Don’t only vex with your smoky eyes for they celebrate your scarcity,
Consume them with your blazing mouth,
Unleash your tears and take them along,
Let your wrath befall so gently on their conscience,
But do so with your motherly heart intact,
So we know in spite of your vengeance,
You still remain our mother nature.
